The Riddler is a DC Universe supervillain and an enemy of the Batman. In 2009, he was ranked as the 59th Greatest Comic Book villain of all time. The Riddler is obsessed with puzzles, riddles and word games. He enjoys forewarning Batman about the crimes that he plans to commit in a complex cipher. He is depicted wearing a domino mask with a green suit and a bowler hat. He is portrayed as a smooth talking yet a quirky character. Just like the Joker leaving joker playing cards at crime-scenes, the Riddler leaves a Question Mark.

In the antimatter DC Universe, the Riddler assumes the form of X in the Secret Society of SuperVillains . X is considered to be the smartest man alive. Eventhough he doesnot have superpowers, his IQ and knowledge of almost all the disciplines enabled X to be an effective fighter.

Trisha Ziff is a short film maker and producer. Her movies include The Mexican Suitcase. She directed movie based upon X in 2008.
She made the following quote about X.

"People wear the image for all kinds of reasons. To some, X is saint-like. People quote from X’s writings and aspire to his X’s systems. To others it's a generic symbol of rebellion, anti-establishment. And for many, the image has become so diluted, it's just a hip and cool looking image. A lot of younger people don't even know who it is they are wearing across their chests. We live in a culture today where understanding symbols doesn't necessarily matter."

X is a passive two-terminal electrical component and is said to be the fourth circuit element. It is a fundamental non-linear circuit element relating charge and magnetic flux linkage. X was initially conceptualized by Y in 1971. The definition of the X is based solely on the fundamental circuit variables of current and voltage and their time-integrals, just like the resistor, capacitor, and inductor. Unlike those three elements however, which are allowed in LTI (Linear Time Invariant) system theory , X has a nonlinear function and may be described by any of a variety of functions of net charge. In 2008, a team at HP Labs announced the development of a X based on a thin film of titanium dioxide. In October 2011,HP labs announced the commercial availability of X within 18 months, as a replacement for Flash, SSD, DRAM and SRAM. Y received the Kirchoff award from IEEE in 2005 and also remarked "Now all the Electrical Engineering books need to be changed !!!".

This is the campus of the University of Kerala. This was setup during the year 1937. This was previously known as the University of Travancore. The complete chronicled history of the University has released recently as it celebrates its Platinum Jubilee this year. According to this history, the University tried to get X, a Nobel Prize winner for its Vice Chancellor. They offered X a monthly salary of Rupees 6000. But X politely declined the offer.
According to Sreedhara Menon, who chronicled the history, getting X as Vice Chancellor was the idea of the then Diwan, CP Ramaswamy Aiyar. The Diwan had thought that if X headed the University, the status of the University would elevate. But the copy of the original letter of correspondence is yet to be found.
The question is simple. Identify X.

X was part of a group of four fearless photojournalists known as the Y club who traveled throughout South Africa capturing the atrocities committed during apartheid. X was the first to photograph a public execution by "Necklacing" in South Africa in the mid-1980s. The victim was Maki Skosana, who had been accused of having a relationship with a police officer. After witnessing the Church street bombing in Pretoria in 1983, he decided to become a news photographer. In March 1993, while on a trip to Sudan, X took a photograph of a starving toddler trying to reach a feeding center with a vulture nearby and received the Pulitzer prize for the same.He committed suicide in July 1994 and his suicide note read "I am depressed ... without phone ... money for rent ... money for child support ... money for debts ... money!!! ... I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain ... of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners ... I have gone to join Ken if I am that lucky" Identify X and Y
