Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar feels, “IPL affords an opportunity to lots of talented players from all over the world - I specially mean the uncapped talented players - to show their skills and come into reckoning for their national teams.”

Zimbabwean cricketer turned commentator Pumelelo Mbangwa says “IPL provides an opportunity mainly to youngsters who perhaps otherwise wouldn’t get noticed in a country as vast as India. There are some talented youngsters no doubt who have come to the fore [through the competition] and that’s the good thing about IPL.”

New Zealand cricketer turned feisty commentator Danny Morrison says “It means a lot of opportunities for young Indians and opportunity for talented international stars to show their wares. This trophy is more traditional [than the previous one].”

What are they talking about here?

He is currently aged 48, and he is aiming a comeback at the first class form of Cricket to complete 20000 runs. He says he is inspired by Sourav Ganguly and Shane Warne to do it. He is one of the finest test batsmen and Inzam-ul-Haq considers him to be one of the three best batsmen he has seen along with Ricky Ponting and Vivian Richards. He made a bold move and introduced an unconventional trick in Cricket, when he used a spinner to open the innings, which was considered out of the box at that time. He has also introduced a new form cricket in his motherland called "Cricket Max" in which the batsmen can double the runs and the bowler aims at four stumps instead of three.

X is considered to be one of the most popular icons in the field of advertising. In 2005, when ICICI Prudential came up with X, the icon for its insurance services, it enjoyed a brand recall of 92 per cent next to LIC’s 97 per cent, according to AC Nielsen survey.
X, a hapless middle-aged man, worried about where to invest his monies, was initially meant to be just a radio spot. Over time, however, X got famous and then it was used in the TV commercials as well.
What boosted the brand recall was X that broke away from the clutter at a time when there were far too many insurance companies wooing potential customers.
