was one of the earliest questions on my blog this is the solar eclipse that helped prove the general theory of relativity proposed by einstein(the fact that rays of light bend when there is a strong gravitational field) but later examination of the pics proved that the evidence was inconclusive to succesfully prove einsteins claim
It is the picture of eclipse of 1919 which is able to confirm Einstein's predictions about the bending of light in the presence of a gravitational field.
