X is a phrase in Swahili which translates to "There are no worries". This phrase was used as a refrain in a song Jambo Bwana by the Kenyan Band Them Mushrooms. Some time later, German Band Boney M wanted to release the same song in English with its name as "Jambo-X". In 1980s, X appeared in Swedish Comics "Bamse". Later X went on to become a cult phrase due to a movie. The movie featured X in one of its chief songs written by Elton John and Tim Rice. This song was nominated for an Academy award and is listed as 99th best ever song in the list of Best Songs by the American Film Institute. The makers of this particular movie learnt this phrase from a safari guide in Tanzania.
